Despots on the Move

November 14, 2008

We’re packing our bags and heading over to our new URL:

Everything that was once here is now there. Everything that is now here will remain here, at least for now. Everything that is yet to be will come to be there, not here.

Our IT department is looking in to the possibility of setting this URL to forward, but early indications are that WordPress doesn’t want its free URL being used to funnel traffic elsewhere. Fair enough. (Though we are still using their software.)

Bear with us as the layout is restored, and as we take advantage of our new freedom to enhance longterm overall awesomeness.

Goodbye, We’ll always have Paris.

State of the Despot Address

A few notes about the Despot:

1.) Regular readers, such as they are, will have noticed a major drop-off in content over the last 10 days, since I fled my East Coast Elitist HQ to get a closer look at the Obama ground game in erstwhile swing state Michigan. Things are very hectic here, but I will make sure things aren’t quite so bad from here on out. Leaning correctly is as important today as it has ever been.

2.) If you’re tired of telling all your friends what our extremely long URL is, rejoice: now forwards here. We may move over there altogether at some point in the future. Stay tuned.

3.) A friend of the blog, responsible for our Fake Photogaffes feature, alerted me to the existence of something called ‘Digg’. So from time to time, starting with the post preceding this one, a little Digg icon will appear below a post. Click on it if you, you know, dig that post, and think other people might dig it too. Ya dig?
